I began my career in Pittsburgh's interactive web development / interactive marketplace in 2001 working for Ripple Effects Interactive (Now BarkeyREI). I left Ripple Effects in 2003 to finish up my Bachelors Degree in Multimedia and Web Design by taking the remaining classes I had at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
While finishing up my degree and consulting for several local companies I was given the opportunity to join the E-Commerce Department of American Eagle Outfitters. While spending a year developing web and multimedia applications I learned a tremendous amount about multimedia development and online commerce.
In 2005 I left Pittsburgh and joined Beyond Interactive (Now Mediacom Interaction) in New York - where I spent a year as a project manager applying what I had learned in developing web applications to online advertising. While at Beyond Interactive I worked on clients including 3M, Cendant, GlaxoSmithKline, and Nokia. After spending time on the agency side of the business in New York I headed back to Pittsburgh, my defacto home.
Upon returning to Pittsburgh after time in New York I joined the Education Management Corporation working in there online division. I helped launch the online presences for South University Online and Argosy University Online, and helped grow the Art Institute Online into the leader in online creative education.
In early 2007 I returned to American Eagle Outfitters as a Senior Multimedia Developer for AE Direct. I currently lead all aspects of multimedia development for the AEO Inc. portfolio of brands including AE, aerie, 77kids, and Martin + Osa.
In addition to my full time employment positions in the past I have also had the opportunity to consult on projects for both local and national clients. I have gone from building online ad units for national brands like XM Radio and ERA Real Estate to working on web sites for local non profit organizations like the Hoop Champs Foundation and Pressley Ridge.
